This is a detailed review of Kraken X gaming headphones from the brand Razer. Razer manufactures pretty good premium quality gaming headsets. In this review article, you can also know the pros and cons of this headset. By the way, this is one of the best gaming headsets at this price.

However, these are over-ear budget headphones from Razer company, that are made for gaming purposes and available in the black color. This headset has a noise-canceling adjustable microphone which is useful during the chat with your teammates in a noisy environment. So, your voice is clearly audible to your team members in the intense game.

Note: However, these are the gaming headphones, do not expect a bassy and punchy music experience because they are not made for music, movies et cetera. Of course, they can manage to deliver a decent sound output. But, not like the headphones dedicatedly made for music.

Also, these are compatible with Personal Computer, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Smartphones. This is the best value for the money gaming headset.

Also, I have tested and used this gaming headset and this review is based on my experience with this product. However, in the conclusion section, you will know whether this product is suitable for your specific need or not. So, let us begin.

Razer Kraken X Wired Gaming Headset — Review

Build Quality & Design

Substantially made of plastic (including the adjustment headband) to maintain the ultra-lightweight name, but it doesn’t feel thin at all. So, they feel naturally solid, don’t throw them away. Also, the structure is solid, the plastic is of high quality and all have a matte finish, except for the glossy RAZER text above. I’ve used it for 10 days during the test and it’s not yet one fingerprint. Of course, there is not a single scratch as well. The texture is a bit grainy, but you won’t notice it when you touch and feel it. It’s that smooth.

Sound Quality

The audio that I was experienced is very clear. However, don’t expect anything as amazing as premium quality gaming headsets like under ₹10k. I’m not saying they aren’t astounding, because of the price they definitely are. At first, the audio was messed up on my PC, and the sound was muffled, but I turned off the audio enhancements in the audio controls and solved the audio issue.

For music, they are decent because the main purpose of these headphones is games. The bass is a little off, but not terrible at all. Editing videos with these is easy, but if you’re using audio production as the main reason to buy these products, you shouldn’t. However, you won’t regret games, entertainment, video editing, etc.

Microphone

However, it has a flexible boom mic with a noise cancelation feature. Yes. Of course, the mic reduces the surrounding noise very effectively in the game whatever the device you use whether it may be a mobile or a PC. However, the sound is crystal clear while you are in the intense game. So, your teammates will hear you clearly. Therefore, this is one of the best microphones gaming headsets in this price range.

Gaming Experience

Also, in games, tones are really good for chasing opponents and players. So, you can clearly hear where the player is. And these get out loud. I always keep it with 40% audio. Even in movies and shows, when a car comes from the left, you can hear the sound of the car in your left ear, and the sound reaches the center as you approach the center. So, the tone is a big 10/10 from me. When upgrading from lower brands such as RedGear and CosmicByte, these feel like the difference between heaven and Earth.

Comfort

Firstly, I wear these headphones all day and it’s very comfortable to wear. This gaming headset is best in terms of comfort because of its lightweight cushiony memory foam used both on the earcups and headbands as well. There is no back and forth rotation, but it is comfortable.

Also, the flexibility is pretty decent and could have been better according to my usage and experience. It feels like there are headphones on your ears, but it doesn’t put pressure on my head and I feel like it hasn’t fallen off due to the clamping force. However, they are very much suitable for long time wearing during your gameplay.

However, the ear cups feel softer in the ears. The headband padding is also very soft because of the cushiony material used. In addition, there is enough room to stretch the earcups. The large RAZER logo is displayed at the top of the headband, but it is not noticeable. So, even the largest head can be worn for hours without problems. The left side of the earcup also has a mute button and a scrolling wheel to control the sound.

you would not feel any pain in your ears even if you put them on for long hours during your gaming sessions. So, I can confidently say this as I used them for many hours playing pubg, call of duty et cetera.
