Born on September 23, 1991, Madrina is currently 32 years old in 2023. She was raised by her single mother in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria, where she also completed her basic education. She practices the Christian faith and holds Nigerian nationality.

Madrina's remarkable journey in the music world began at a very young age. She started as a backup singer in her mother's musical band when she was just three years old.
By the age of seven, Cynthia Morgan was already composing her songs, and at 17, she recorded her debut single featuring General Pype, titled "Dutty Stepping." In 2008, she relocated to Lagos to pursue her music career, adopting the stage name "Killa Marshal."
On August 22, 2013, Cynthia Morgan signed a recording contract with Northside Entertainment Inc., owned by Jude 'Engees' Okoye. Her big break came with the release of two hit singles, "Don't Break My Heart" and "Lead Me On," which earned massive airplay and a nomination for "Best Reggae/Dancehall Single" at The Headies 2014.
In May 2020, Cynthia Morgan revealed during an Instagram Live session that she lost her stage name, VEVO account, royalties, Instagram account, and more due to her contract with Jude Okoye. She had silently battled depression during her fallout with Jude Okoye, and fans rallied behind her, even getting support from Afrobeats superstar Davido.
