Tinder drugs

This summer I wrote a piece about Tinder turning into a marketplace for drugs. The story was published in The Outline, but I didn’t really like how it turned out. I am freelance writer and designers don’t usually plan anything specific for my stories. Their work is mostly structured around staff writers and their ideas. That’s why I tried to create an interactive for my story.

I started with the background generated by changing pixels with the “for”-loop. I also put The Outline’s logo in the bottom of the canvas. I then drew a Tinder layout adding two buttons which switch the profile image to the pictures of drugs I’ve found on that platform.

I’m not sure if that can be used by The Outline due to their website’s style guide, but at least it looks more engaging and fun than a layout with screenshots.
