As T.S. Eliot wrote, “The progress of an artist is a continual self-sacrifice, a continual extinction of personality.”
In other words, you’re influenced. You can never escape it. If you want to get good at living, or anything else, you have to see yourself as a conduit. You bleed into other people, and they bleed back.
The more I focus on the quality of my writing over gimmicky promotion tactics, the more rapid the reach increases.
