Best advice! Active observation, being fully immersed and engaged with your surrounding, but also taking note of how those things make you feel, and questioning why. The world around us and the people we see in it are always the object of our observation, but even more powerful is that those observations reveal so much about us, and those revelations can help us strengthen our writer's voice.
