What role have you performed in the group project? What did you contribute to the project?
The ‘Time Square’ project made me realise and think more seriously about each step we need to collaborate on concrete ideas and getting them to work in the proper way, achieving this way our intended results. I always had a good posture and maintained good contact with each member of my team, relating every new update, so that everyone could be aware of the continuous process.

I was the first one who came up with the idea of creating an app that would allow us to take a photo and go back in time, I thought this would have a massive impact in our daily basis for being so challenging and powerful. Once we had a start point, I began to help and think on what would be the best way to accomplish our visual elements: logo, app, website, using software products like photoshop, illustrator and also some sketching. Since our first logo was very similar to an existing one, we had to change completely our image so that it would have a distinct brand which could also make us stand out in the market.
I started working mainly on the website, after set up the WordPress in localhost by myself. Firstly, I started to do a couple of wire-frames and then sketched the whole website to have a better perception of what I could and should do, this way it would make it easier and more intuitive when developing the page. I took care of the entire visual of the website, as well some of the content that we had to put in. After several days working around with javascript files, scripts as classie, smoove and many others, php, in function to make the entire project sound consistent. I managed at the end for it to be self sufficient providing all the services and facilities for the end-user customer.

Along with the structured pIan I was searching a pleasant look, something minimalist and modern that would engage people at first sign. I was truly looking forward to put my hands in practice. My ambitions in this project was to create a single stylish page with anchors linking to each section and also, to work out some other details like the content that I aimed to slightly fade likewise resizing the header and their element when scrolling down. As a result, I intended to create something meaningful by choosing the colours carefully, balancing them and creating some dynamic among them, taking into account all those existing in our logo.
I did some research about our topic, like for example: which companies were doing something similar, what technology we we’re looking for, and what would be the best way to implement it. Naming, Google Time Machine and Panoramio in my perspective these were related in such a way that we couldn’t avoid their steps, basically they were the key element to our project. This way we we were able to understand all the concepts and start innovating more efficiently. Afterwards, I started to question myself: ‘What makes the Time Square different?’, ’Who will the user base be?’, ‘How am I going to incentive people using it?’, ‘Is it free?’. Overall, my intentions were to monetise our project and reinforce how the UGC could be beneficial by knowing every minimal detail about it and inputting it into our project, so it would have a further insight.

To sum up, I believe this task made me realise how cooperation and changing information is relevant in a larger project, dividing our tasks separately and making our tasks productive. With that said, being part of this team work was surely an enriching process which helped me cross a lot of barriers: how to be more communicative and organised, between many others. In addition, I believe that it is essential to establish dead-lines for the reason that it is great time saver and also improves our work process, balancing the time we have to go through all the steps until concluding them and becoming more efficient in less time.
