Adding extra
In order to get the most out of your job/experience/time/yourself, you cram it with things and make your schedule as tight as possible.
Your calendar is full of meetings or appointments so you don’t have time to breathe. And when something goes wrong(it always does) or takes a longer time than it’s used to, the whole system goes down the drain.
You pack your vacation with different events, but then you miss your bus or arrive at an art exhibition so out of breath that you no longer care. And at night you are so tired that you would probably skip the evening event and sleep till the afternoon.
Your schedule is tight to a minute, so when you are distracted or fail to execute on it, everything collapses and suddenly you are in a hurry.
Having free time is not a wasted time. Having free time helps you to do something in between. Yes, you may cram it with something important or you may just rest. It’s like a safety net which can save your experience/schedule/day.
