Manuals

Instructions and manuals are great, especially if you find yourself doing similar things over and over again. Just write instructions and give it to new employees, you will save a lot of costs on training. Now you can train thousands of them. Just record a video or make a list. First, do this, and then this and if you get this you should probably do this.

But manuals have one big flaw — there is no human in them, no connection. We are humans, we need connection, and now we are treated like machines.

And guess what, once the manual is ready and working, the organization can go looking for someone cheaper(there is always someone cheaper), until we outsource it to machines.

Manuals are great, but so is the human connection. Don’t forget that.
