In this summer vacation, I got a job in Costco. What I need to do is assist customers in packing their purchases. Costco is a sizable wholesale store with thousands of members who come to shop every day so our job is very important, we have to assist cashiers to expedite their checkout for guests so that they can serve more people. Here’s what I’ve learned in this job

  1. Members come first

I believe everyone knows that Costco is a membership store and you must pay an annual fee every year to enter the store for consumption. Since members have spent this money, we should give them high-quality service and more cost-effective product prices.

2. If you have any questions, you should ask the supervisor

As a new employee, we must have many things that we don’t understand, such as product placement, work items, and how to deal with customers who have problems. At this time, we must immediately ask the supervisor or a more senior staff, they will answer you right away.

3. Kind regards and smile

As a service industry, the most important thing is smiles and greetings, such as welcome and thank you for coming, and good service to customers will make them willing to come to spend next time.
