ReinventLaw is already a movement which needs no further introduction. (However, if you require one, you may read more on it here). So without further ado, during the program on the February 7th:
Kyle Westaway is going to teach you How to Run Your Firm Like a Startup, Lisa Damon is going to tell us the Confessions of a Pyrotechnician, following with Itai Gurari, who ad-Judicata-es by using mere Fact(s) + Law. The honor to close the first session will have Paul Lippe — with the Legal By Design.
But save your breath, since R. Amani Smathers is going to introduce The T-Shaped 21st Century Lawyer, Andy Wilson will explain How to Build a Product in the Legal Industry that Lawyers Will Actually Buy (personally really looking forward to that one!) and Josh King will put in the same equation Price Transparency and Legal Services.
Most of us will agree with Isaac Potoczny-Jones who predict The Password Problem Will Only Get Worse: (and will possibly introduce?) New Technology for Proving Who We Are. With all that said no wonder We Need More Legal Hackers Now, as Dan Lear will further elaborate.
Daniel W. Linna Jr. will present how Law Practice: transits From Art to Science in the contemporary world, while Abe Geiger will set the Legal Infrastructure for the Sharing Economy, Joshua Kubicki will tell us the story of the Legal by the Numbers and Andy Ninh will close the session off with a remark: Future is bright, so put the Google Glass in Legal Practice v2.0.
After the short break Mark Cohen will compare The Legal Delivery Model: (with) A Post-Cubist Paradigm, David Howarth will tell you why you need to teach, learn & practice Law as Engineering, Marshall Van Alstyne will shed more light on how Business Platforms Are Changing Professional Services, and
Margaret Hagan will give us some Creative Approaches to Legal Services.
Kristen Kolakowski-Godin will announce A New Era for E-Discovery: which involves Predictive Coding, Noah Waisberg will tell you what you need to be doing to do the Better Contract Review, Nicole Bradick will share the views on Starting from Scratch (really useful skill nowadays).
Chase Hertel will outline the Immigration Evolution, Susan Hackett will remind us what Law practice is all about (hint: “It’s the Client, Stupid!”) and
Renee Newman Knake is going to make us wonder Is Legal Information Speech?
After another caffeine-intake session Martin Schwimmer will discuss The Law of Shapes To Come: Intellectual Property Considerations of 3D Printing, Harry Surden will talk on Computable Contracts, and Sheila Kennedy on Operations (and a) Room with a View.
Basha Rubin will tell us why Everyone is an Expert: and will it feel like to be Lawyering in the Age of Self-Diagnosis. Jeffrey Carr will remind us of the Law & Order: CCU (Corporate Counsel Unit), David Perla will ponder on the Today’s Legal Start-Up Ecosystem: Cambrian Explosion or Crowded House(?), while Dan Currell will be Analyzing In-House Lawyers’ Skills and make us wonder What Does Success Look Like in 2014?
Over the final session, John P. Mayer (will hopefully bring us) Donuts of Justice, Patrick Lamb will be Designing Results, and Karl Chapman will proclaim that Customers Are the Winners. Karen Francis-McWhite will talk on the Hive Dynamics and Building Resilient (Legal) Communities, Magnus Stein on the Scalability issue, and Ron Friedmann will help us all understand better how to Do Less Law (something most of us are really looking forward to).
