Susan Christiana, my “flying diva”story had the most unfortunate but educative aftermath. Our Peter had revealed himself to take the greatest pleasure in repeatedly ridiculing my — as he had presented it — “chronic incontinence”. This all took place in his private messages to me. After his third or fourth joke on the subject I felt a bit worn out by him drawing so much inspiration and joy from this story. To be honest, his hanging on to the subject that long, did not strike me as so sound and natural any more. Looking back I think that he must have known he was out of line — why else would he be doing it in private messages? My story was public and so should be the comments, I think. Anyway… To cut the long story, at one point I told him it was time to let go off the subject. That seems to have pierced his balloon big time. All his grand humor instantly vanished without a trace . He asked me not to message him any more! Talking of twisting the facts… I do not even know how to start a private conversation on Medium! I only know how to respond if somebody else messages me.

Peter seems to have closed his Medium account immediately. Now I am wondering … did I , by writing this story, unknowingly hit on the man’s fetish, or some other peculiarity of character?

This unfortunate incident has taught me to be very cautious getting into private conversations from now on. If anybody addresses me privately , I will forever be looking to find out what exactly this person wants to tell me that the rest of the world must not see…
