I’m not sure using these comparisons articulates clearly why some of these ICOs need money and the quantum they are seeking, purely saying the infrastructure is in place doesn’t compare to pre-selling tickets to a Texas Ranger season that occurs on set dates with limited risk. ICOs typically at the moment sell a future value in something reasonably opaque to the average investor with limited understanding of what the future outcome will be (unlike say an IPO).
