Yesterday was my birthday. Thank you all for the birthday wishes! I really appreciate y'all.

For the last few years, I’ve been celebrating my born day in #reflection and #meditation.

...

I turn off my phone, sit down with myself, pen and paper in hand, and start looking internally and objectively at different aspects of my life.

I take this time to get an introspective point of view of what my life has been since last year; look at my own behaviors, thoughts and decision making processes, and the things I’m doing wrong that I know I could stop doing.

After acknowledging the things I'm doing right and wrong, in order to move forward I ask myself the following questions and write down the answers:

~ What do you want from/for your family, friends, and career?
~ How are you going to use time outside of work?
~ How are you going to educate yourself?
~ How are you going to regulate your mental and physical health?

When I’m done with this, I pretty much have an insight of what my life could be like and the things I want to do for the next year. Also, I think about what I don’t want to have happen.

Then write down a plan for how I'm going to do it.

I do this to figure who/ where I am today and who/ where I want to be next year.

I thought it would be beneficial to share this with you guys.
