Organise your thoughts using the best mind map ever made.
I’m not overemphasising in the compliment. Milanote is a perfect combination of mind map and organisation of ideas all in one place, the cloud.
I’m sure that for some people it’s easy to organise their thoughts, they even know how to use an agenda (for God sake!). But I always have a hard time to align my ideas.
Sometimes, especially when I get excited or anxious — which happens quite often nowadays — my mind flies away, and I end up with my head full of disconnected insights.
Recently, working on a design project for EnergyLink I found myself with zillions of references and questions, and when you get to the point where you don’t know where to start because everything is popping in your mind, you lose focus and productivity.
These are the situations where milanote come in handy. Create a board (or 10), and by using cards, you have just to write down whatever comes to your mind. On this stage, you don’t even need to classify your cards, just place them on the board and once you finish you may start grouping your thoughts in columns or other boards.
Then you go crazy, create a big line net if you will, link your cards, images, videos, web addresses, everything … with lines or arrows.
Best of all, share your craziness with people that will add something to your project.
Maybe you’re more practical than me, if so, most likely Evernote or some sort of Kanban system works just right for you.
For me, so far this is one of the best tools ever made. If you’re the kind of person that lose your sense of organisation from time to time, I’d certainly recommend milanote for you.
Go ahead and try, and if you do so, please use this link. I’m always keen of some extra cards on my deck.

See you next time (after organise my table).
