The Season of Thanks and Giving
As we enter into the season of thanks and giving, we thank God for you, our iVoterGuide family. Now more than one million strong, we know that God has used each of you to impact thousands of races across the nation. We pray that iVoterGuide has been — and will continue to be — our gift to you every time you go the polls, and that God will bless our ministry so that together we can affect even more races in 2020.
We also give thanks for the magnificent coalition of partners who God has brought together to help spread the word about iVoterGuide and to shine a light on the candidates before each election. Did you know that our coalition has grown to more than 30 organizations? They are all shown at the bottom of the page, and all are committed to using and sharing iVoterGuide. Each one is a gift. If you see the name of an organization you know, please let them know how thankful you are that they use and offer iVoterGuide. We wouldn’t be here without you or without them.
After a day of Thanksgiving, the focus in the United States quickly turns to giving — and spending. As shoppers prepare for hitting the malls on Friday and grabbing online savings on “Cyber Monday,” a shift is being consciously made by many to turn the Tuesday after Thanksgiving into a national day of giving known as #GivingTuesday. We embrace this idea at iVoterGuide, and our staff is taking part in Operation Christmas Child — a project of Samaritan’s Purse. It’s an easy way to share the Gospel and help the needy. We invite you to join us by building an Online Shoebox if you are not already involved with another charity (or maybe even if you are!).
Finally, if you would like to give back to iVoterGuide, we would appreciate you praying about any organizations or people with whom you might be able to connect us as we prepare for the 2020 elections. Might you know of an organization who would like to join our coalition of partners so that we can cover more down ballot races in more states? Do you know of someone who would like to help sponsor coverage of their state legislative races or support the work of iVoterGuide? (Maybe it’s you?!) If so, we would appreciate an introduction or donation.
On Thursday, as we tell our children and grandchildren stories of the Pilgrims and Plymouth Rock, may we all be mindful of the sacrifices and hardships of those who came to our shores seeking the freedoms we are fighting so hard to maintain. May we offer our heartfelt thanksgiving for God’s unwavering provision, and may we join in praying for the future of the land that we love.
Happy Thanksgiving. May God bless you.
