Most of you will know Brett Donowho as the director of “Acts of Violence”, starring Bruce Willis and Mike Epps, but there’s a whole lot more to this man. For one, he’s also a producer, he’s been a COO of a talent agency and has truly dipped his toes in every aspect of Hollywood.

The Director & Producer

He has directed his share of independent movies and now continues to support independent artists. Mr. Donowho has produced around 15 short and full-length movies to date, and he is always happy to work with aspiring new talent.

The Actor

As an actor he is credited in 20 different roles, ranging from TV Series to movies, and even a Star Trek video game way back in 1997. Be it drama, horror, action, thriller, or crime movie, Donowho has explored a variety of genres, both as an actor and as a director.

Most Notable Works

His most notable directorial works, the recent “Acts of Violence” aside, include the intriguing crime drama “Salvation” and the thought-provoking short “Zizi and Honeyboy”. “Salvation” is full of characters with hidden motives and a plot that slowly picks up the pace, only to culminate in a whirlwind of violence.

His short film, “Zizi and Honeyboy” on the other hand, depicts the downfall of a man who is blacklisted by the media and the powerful influence of his wise Italian aunt that helps him through a time of self-doubt and pain. “Zizi and Honeyboy” racked up 3 film festival nominations and 1 win and enjoyed quite a bit of popularity, even among the more casual movie-going audience.

Brett Donowho has had his share of roles and has proven to be a competent director in recent years, so we should expect to see a lot more from this multitalented and highly creative artist.
