The Cross Cultural Center tries to connect students of all backgrounds and ethnicity to campus events and programs. From our interviews, I learned that people who used the CCC website use it to find information on cultural events and internship opportunities. However, the website had many pain points and it was difficult to navigate. Based on the interviews, we will measure our success metrics based on how easy it is to navigate the page and find all the information fast, without compromising the quality of the content. While designing the pages, my partner and I were able to group similar pages together, such as “History, Mission Statement, and About Us.” We decided that having similar information all on one wireframe would streamline the navigation process. However, the most difficult part was organizing all this information so that it wasn’t cluttered and packed. We wanted the layout to be clean, simple, and intuitive. The feedback we got for our initial wireframes were that they were visually appealing, but can be simplified even more. Although I do agree that the navigation can be simplified, it is tough because CCC presents so much information and eliminating any one page or module will leave out content for the user. The next step of our project is finishing the wireframes and condensing pages to make it even easier to navigate.
