Prompt #3
Janice Pang

Part I:
As a student at UC Davis, I have seen many works of designers that are geared specifically towards special needs such as creating ramps next to staircases for the physically disabled. Other examples include left handed desks in lecture halls. These instances have encouraged me to design not just for the general population, but also cater to the needs of an underrepresented minority.

Part II:
The television set helps streamline channels into one instead of having multiple identical channels. Papanek and his students found inexpensive solutions by redesigning the cable hardware through cow dung and making it sustainable and more efficient.
