What did you do this past week?

This past week, I worked on SWE and Data Mining, and got the chance to catch up on my Mexican American Latinx Studies class. In that class we also write blogs, but they are only available to students in that class. So, they tend to be a little bit more personal and intimate. So, I was able to post some blogs that I was missing and write more to create discussions in class. This week, I also played a soccer Intramural game with Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers. Although we lost, I think we actually played a lot better than the other team. But, it was fun to see friends and play!

What’s in your way?

This week, most of what got in my way was me trying to catch up. If I didn’t have to do that, I could have worked on other stuff.

What will you do next week?

This next week, I will be working on the next SWE phase. I will also be trying to catch up on the last phase. I will also be working on my data mining assignment that I have due soon. On top of that, I need to meet with my data mining group to discuss and work on our research project. And finally, at the end of that week, I will play another IM game. This week, I am also going to start training for a half marathon that I have planned for next semester. Hopefully, I don’t get distracted and push that.

What was your experience of SQL? (this question will vary, week to week)

My experience was good! I think the language is sometimes a bit tricky, but in general, I think this concept has been the most straightforward out of all other topics.

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week

My tip of the week is to take the time to step away from the computer to be physically active! I had forgotten how much energy working out can give. And I definitely recommend it if you are in need of a CS break.
