Day 11: Advice to my Younger Self

Don’t eat too much, you look like a blown up whale right now.

My advice to my younger self would be to live life like there’s no tomorrow. Do not be confined by four walls. If you can’t go out, you have your internet to your disposal. Live.

Create a life your older self would laugh at and not regret. Make mistakes, make embarrassing moments, trip everywhere, spill water everywhere, be the clumsiest piece of stool you’re ever going to be. Laugh at yourself and don’t be afraid to look stupid. Be carefree! Be loose! You are not bound to anyone but to yourself.

Stop complaining. You have a sturdy house that can withstand all forces of nature. You have a table where your mother places warm delicious food. You have a comfortable bed, big enough to accompany a family of three. You have clothes with no holes and tatters. You have a complete family, your father does not work abroad and your mother is always at home taking care of you and your siblings.

You are not Superman. You can’t help everybody. Everybody has their own problems that you can’t be a part of. Not all of them will welcome you in their mind. You have your own. Understand it first.

Learn to control your feelings. I warn you, it’s going to be one big emotional roller coaster ride. I recommend that you learn how to control all of that mushiness. I am telling you, you are not going to like what will happen. I almost lost myself, I wouldn’t want that to happen to you.

Be independent. Not everyone is going to be there for you. Sometimes they would even leave you to die. They would leave you confused and lost. Learn to stand with your own two feet. People will leave, people don’t stay. Make sure you stay. If people won’t do it, then do it. You are your own person, be it.

I have so much to tell her but I think this all sums it up.

Whew.

Cuppo Keyki. ❤

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
