How to Write Content People will Actually Read

I was once at a dinner with a new friend at his house. He broke out his guitar and played a couple of songs. He was really good! I asked why he was working with me taking inventory at a local college instead of making a living playing guitar. His answer, “Really good guitar players are a dime a dozen”.

It’s the same with bloggers. Your tips are “dime a dozen” basics. I read a lot of blogs. I look for more than plain competence. How about great writing? Humor? Brilliant insights that no one else has pointed out? Great blogging is not easy to pin down, but like Justice Potter Stewart, “I know it when I see it”.
