They’ll Know Us By Our Love.

Desperation: “a state of despair, typically one that results in rash or extreme behavior.”

Hopelessness: “a feeling or state of despair; lack of hope.

Depression: “feelings of severe despondency and dejection.”

Anger: “a strong feeling of annoyance, displeasure, or hostility.

Intolerance: “unwillingness to accept views, beliefs, or behavior that differ from one’s own.”

I know what you must be thinking…Sound’s like the beginning of a good Sci-Fi film. But the truth is…These words describe an absolutely terrifying and overwhelming state…And if you were to admit it truly…These words plague our lives every minute of every day.

Not just these words…But a multitude of terrifying words.

You are not alone… As much as you would like to think you are… You are not.

Our world today seems to be a larger and more terrifying world then it was years ago. And yes that is my opinion… But we are all entitled to our opinions…Right?

Imagine if everyone judged you by your opinion everyday. Not very hard to imagine is it?

What if life came with an instruction manual? What if all of the situations that you are going through right now…Had a fix? Would you want it? Would you follow it?

What if you knew that your life would change in a instant? What if you had a resource that could solve the problems of the World? Would you read it? Would you Believe it?

It seems funny when you think about it. We are willing to dish out Millions of dollars a year on Self-Help products that always seem to be a waste of money…But maybe the next one will be the BIG help that you need.

You know as well as I do… That is not going to be the case. And yet we continue to struggle to make it to the next level… “If I can only make more money?”

Now before you tell me that you are doing fine financially… First let me ask you… Do you feel like your life and the life of your family is completely covered. If so I applaud you… But if you struggle everyday, with the fear of inadequacy… Stop right there. Listen to me… You are not alone.

According to The Center For Poverty Research in Davis California: “The official poverty rate is 13.5 percent, based on the U.S. Census Bureau’s 2015 estimates. That year, an estimated 43.1 million Americans lived in poverty according to the official measure.”

564,708 people in the U.S. are homeless. According to a recent report, over half a million people were living on the streets, in cars, in homeless shelters, or in subsidized transitional housing during a one-night national survey last January. Of that number, 206,286 were people in families, 358,422 were individuals, and a quarter of the entire group were children.” http://www.socialsolutions.com/blog/2016-homelessness-statistics/

Could this be the right numbers in our Country?

I would like to tell you no… And we could have a nice laugh.

But the truth is… This was from a simple search on the web. Once again… In my own opinion… 564,708 people did not deliberately make a decision to be homeless.

Those numbers are heartbreaking.

I have designed and written thousands of characters throughout my life. I can tell you, I have no idea what that kind of desperation feels like. And yet we hear stories about courageous people rising up and overcoming this pitfall. Truly amazing individuals that change their situation. And their lives will never be the same for it. So why are the rest of us still continuing to struggle?

How hopeless is the situation at this point?

Before you say: “It isn’t THAT bad!”

How bad does it get before it is that bad? How many times are we surprised by life being that bad?

“There were 42,773 recorded suicides in the United States in 2014 according to the Center for Disease Control (CDC) National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS). On average, adjusted for age, the annual U.S. suicide rate increased 24% over the 15 previous years (1999 to 2014), from 10.5 to 13.0 suicides per 100,000 people, the highest rate recorded in 28 years.”

This passage was taken from Wikipedia. If those numbers were not disturbing enough… My research only included the United States. Research the numbers of suicides, homeless, and poverty stricken individuals of the World. Those numbers are Frightening.

Think about it… Maybe “Self-Help” is not working, and we should be seeking other means to fix our lives.

Now before you get offended, and make the decision to stop reading. First let me tell you… I am not trying to offend anyone… I am just stating simple statistics about just one piece of our Whole Lives. And to extend an option, or a “Self-Help” if you will… That will only cost you the moments that you spend reading this post. A courtesy that I wish I had been given when I was younger.

And maybe remind you that you are not facing these situations alone.

I believe that we are all born for “Greatness.” We simply do not have the tools at this very moment… Maybe we are on the brink of greatness, but convince ourselves that it couldn’t possibly be that Simple.

You might be in a situation that can’t wait… That is a terrifying feeling… Isn’t it?

This doesn’t have to be your life.

Faith: “complete trust or confidence in someone or something. .”

Wait! Before you decide that I have officially crossed the line… Let me break down this simple definition. Complete trust… Or confidence… In someone or something…

We are already doing these actions with products or programs that we are purchasing… We trust that all of these products or programs are going to change our lives. We have the confidence that when we finish… Our lives will be different. This is called faith.

Hope: “a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen.”

I know you don’t need a vocabulary lesson. I just wanted to let you know… We are already doing these things in our lives… And nothing is changing. Our lives are still complicated, and we are struggling to accomplish tasks in our lives… While feeling like we have no control of our own skin. Terrified of the moments to come… Sometimes just waiting for the next problem to arrive.

Life shouldn’t be a sequence of disasters… Followed by terrifying moments before the next problem. A life of short “Wins” before a reminder that we do not understand what we are doing. Every choice could be the final decision that teeters the balance to one side… Or the other.

What if life could be easier? What if every decision that you made was part of a bigger picture? And… Every choice that you make is reinforced by a promise… That our existence has a higher purpose.

“I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.” Psalms 32:8

Wait! You’ve made it this far.

Just take a minute… Before you make the decision to close this post. Think about the situations in your life… There is never enough money…There is never enough time. You always feel like you are doing this on your own… And as far as you see it… There is no relief in sight.

But this is simply not true. And even you can feel that there is something else out there. I know because you chose to get up this morning… You chose to face another day. You chose to live your life Today even though you didn’t know what was going to happen… And that my friend makes you one of the strongest people I know.

Your life has meaning… All life has meaning. Whether you admit it or not… Something bigger than “Us” is happening in this World. The signs are there… You just have to take a moment to recognize the significance of the Gifts and Grace we are given. Every breath that we take is a gift in this life…

We know the truth about life… Every minute could possibly be our last. And to be honest with the knowledge that death is closer then we would like to admit. We see it every day.

And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:4

Life has meaning… All life has meaning. And that includes your life.

But He said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.” Luke 18:27

Please don’t feel as though I am preaching to you…

The fact is that I am just a man as well. I am struggling to find my own way in this life. I have Problems… Bills… Sins… and absolutely no idea what tomorrow will bring.

The difference is that I don’t deal with these problems alone. I trust that I was designed for more then this life. And even though I sin… Believe me I fall short every day.

I am promised forgiveness.

As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.” Psalm 103:12

How Powerful Would That Message Be If It Were True?

How powerful is that message knowing that it is more real then any stone on the face of Earth? Even if you don’t believe or trust it? How incredible is the knowledge that we were created in our God’s image. That we are unconditionally loved by God… Even if we do not deserve to be loved… Unconditionally?

Unconditionally: “without conditions or limits.”

God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

Please Just take a second to think about that last scripture… Jesus died for you…

All of this can be found in our own “Instruction Manual.” The Holy Bible…

Now before you completely vanish from this post… Take a minute Please… Your troubles are still going to be there. You can look around and see that nothing has changed…

You can hear that voice saying: “Yea, wouldn’t that be great if it were all true.”

But the truth is… Whether you believe in God or not… He Loves and Believes in you. Isn’t that worth even a moment of your time to see what He is promising you? The Bible has these promises…

But this is just one option… I know that not everyone believes as I do… And I was not created to judge.

It just seemed as though all the information has not been given… And if you are unaware of the promises in the Bible. I wanted to make sure that you had the option of finding the true meaning to your life. I am not a Preacher, I just have allot of faith that all of the people in this world are worth loving…

We are in this together… Whether you choose to read the Bible or not… I believe in you and I love you, as much as I possibly can.

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.” Isaiah 43:2

Before writing a comment, Please just stop and think… I am not a preacher… I am not Famous… I am not wealthy…I am in the same boat and life that you are in. I have bills that I can’t pay… I fractured my ankle and I am on the brink of losing my job. I have 3 children that I love and I am truly terrified every day that my decisions could change their lives as well. But I continue to believe that temporary moments… Are overcome with his Grace and Love.

I know that my decision to post this… Will bring negative comments and judgment, but I needed to say something. And hopefully you can find the answers that you are looking for… At this point what do you have to lose? Compared to all that you will gain.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
