6 locations in 1 day — our 4/20 in our second year
The 20th of April is a date of extreme importance for our culture, the cannabis culture. On this day we show how passionate we are about cannabis, and the urgent need to see it legalised — it’s a plant full of benefits, both medical and recreational, and proven to be less harmful than alcohol or tobacco. It is also a day to celebrate all the good things about the plant, together. In the same way, we are passionate every day about the products we make and how we help our CBD patients. This is why we proudly carry 420 in our name.
And that means for 4/20, we need to express that passion as a brand. Since participating in the NORML Paris Festival as sponsors last year, we are trying to raise the bar and celebrate this great event bigger and better, and in more places, each year. This year, we participated in 6 events across 5 cities in Europe and the US. Can’t wait to see what we come up for 2020’s 4/20, and the state of cannabis then. For sure, the numbers look fitting for a great year for cannabis!
Here is a brief recap of 2019’s 4/20:
Geneva, Switzerland
We organised a giant “stash and dash” of CBD420 goods all over Geneva, including flowers, CBD oil, and balms. We hid 1,500 Swiss Francs worth of products, only leaving clues on our CBD420 Instagram account’s stories. If you walk down the streets of Geneva and go by these places, who knows, you might still get lucky!
Paris, France
The focal point of our 4/20 this year was the French capital. We were proud to be official sponsors of the 420 Paris Festival organised by NORML France. We had a booth to present and sell products, but more importantly, get in contact with a lot of current clients/patients and introduced CBD to a lot of new curious people and also gave away free CBD gummies.
After the projection of VICELAND’s first episode of “Cannabiz”, their new show that looks at the business of cannabis and everyday life, I participated in a Q&A session. The first few questions came from the ‘VICE Phone Box’, a series of pre-recorded questions. The event also included many other interesting talks and presentations. To wrap up I participated in a podcast — more news to follow!
Brussels, Belgium
Brussels was the scene of a true double whammy as we got involved in two events: a treasure hunt and a skate competition.
So we took to the capital of Belgium and Europe for a treasure hunt of CBD420 products. The event kicked off at 4:20pm (of course), and was accompanied by concerts and food spots along the 7 kilometre route on across the city.
And for the second Brussels event, we were the main sponsors of the Game of Troon skate battle! The winner of Belgium’s best flatground contest got a claim to the most coveted (iron?) throne in skateboarding, and a lot of CBD420 products! The contest was in Marnixlaan with Jean Jaques Distribution, Ni Liege and Raion Skate.
Stockholm, Sweden
At the High Vibes 420 in Humlegården, Stockholm, we took the opportunity to present CBD420 and serve free CBD tea.
Denver, Colorado, US
We were happy to serve some amazing drinks with our CBD420 oils at Yoga (and Brunch) with a View, at the Space Gallery in Denver. Relaxation, good food, drinks, and… more relaxation. Nate, the CBD420 man in Colorado, was barman for a day at the @garnishbartending bar.
