To be clear, I don’t think the Hawks are true contenders in the East; however, I do think Howard’s elite rebounding, coupled with Millsap’s quitely elite defense in the post, thus combined with the newly developed outside shooting capabilities of Hardaway, Taurean Prince (limited sample size, but has the body to be a stifling defender and shoots the 3 well), and Kent Bazemore, as well as the defense DeAndre Bembry has shown the capabilities of playing on the perimeter (made it tough on Harden a couple TNT Thursdays ago), the Hawks are quietly developing a roster that clears up it’s biggest weakness from 2015 (rebounding) but is starting to add back the high quality perimeter defense and outside shooting it needs to compete.

That sentence is grammatically horrendous, but tldr — the Hawks have developed a roster that can play well when the game slows down in the playoffs.
