Apple, Amazon, Google & Amazon

Battle of the Titans

We’ve seen the top tech companies’ rise and fall. Who would be the next to fall?

Apple’s business model is to make money by selling devices. They differentiate these devices by making their own operating system. Hence, they win by making the best devices and the best operating system. Apple is still making great products and iOS to date.

Amazon’s business model is making money when you buy stuff. This incentivizes them to make their store and content available, with the most seamless access, everywhere, regardless of device. Amazon is still gaining great traction on eCommerce to date.

Google’s business model is when you access their services. This motivates them to make their services available, with the best possible implementation, everywhere, regardless of device. Whether is it Google Map, Google Search or Google Gmail, Google is still the market leader.

Microsoft’s business model is to build operating system. They are motivated to make great operating system when computer makers use and license their operating system. However, in recent years, Microsoft’s share in personal computing devices is on the decline.
