What a fantastic and well written article. Taught my students the same kind of thing today while thinking about this fundamental question “why do we work?” . Gave Adam Smith as an example for the reward of work as a means to get people to work even if it means boring, repetitive and non thinking tasks, as long as the reward is here… enjoyed that article a lot.
