I think this has merit. Obviously there’s the danger in imparting unehlpful rigid thinking on what is okay and not, but those who struggle the most with appropriateness could possibly use some rigidity.

I personally find it doubtful that I’d come away clean even as a gay man. We all pick up habits from how we’re socialized. I certainly catch myself lower-estimating the capabilities of women often enough; allowing hints of patronization to slip into my speech. It’s insidious.
