There’s no time to pause.

Oddly enough, I found the most peaceful moments of work in the midst of a business trip to Germany. The lake of Sorpesee was my place of peace from the chaos that is everything going on with the world. As I jogged around the lake the cloud of stress began to float away; slowly replaced by the smell and odors of the pines and woodland.

Now back at home; 12 hour shifts, 7 days a week, in on holidays with Murphy’s law in full effect. Hair left in a mane, with enough bags under my eyes to be charged 40 cents at the grocery store. Fueled by the herbal tonic that is shitty drip coffee from the cafe.

I can only think of what comes after… sinking all of that PTO to find that place of quiet and calm again.
