Do you have any more text on this? I have felt stifled by SharePoint a few times and it always feels a bit cumbersome to an extent. The problem always comes in when you get into an organization that has this set up (maybe a few years of work) and trying to change the culture by deploying minimal but functional custom solutions.
How can you break those barriers and cultivate a new culture?
My take (a bit biased because of my web devt background) is that it makes more sense to spend a few months developing a custom solution which by it’s nature grows as the needs of the organization grows.
