Smart is the man who admits knowing nothing but understands that there is always change, chance and reason. โ€” Jaan Kruusma 28.11.18 Elron, Pedja

Get it done, make it happen, do it for the right reasons. Sit up straight. Feel the feeling of your ass in the chair. Do you feel your head? Can you feel your thoughts ๐Ÿ’ญ

The reason for writing this piece of my mind down is to make use of the time that has been given. The time here and now. Can there be a better time or reason to write? Just the pure act of creating and organizing words into meaningful sentences that can be picked up by the reader and hopefully these sentences will raise new questions and thoughts in their mind. What is on your mind?

With each writing, I hope ๐Ÿคž to learn more and more about myself and the universe. I think of it as one step further from reading. A chance to express the ideas given to me, the ideas of growth, happiness, meaning, work, love, life, food ๐Ÿฅ˜ Otherwise I am just loading myself constantly with new ideas, but the old ones need some digestions as well.

A new idea is from John Maxwell โ€” or a question is more precise. In what direction and how do you want to grow? For me, the question is a bit easier than the question I was wrestling with before: what is your vision and mission for changing the world. ๐ŸŒ With the vision question, I have been struggling for many years because good leaders always lead with their vision. So by not having a vision, one cannot lead. But I want to be a leader, a leader in my own life, a leader in my own reality, my own happiness. So what to do? For me, the best cure, my remedy for getting stressed about the future, is just focusing on the present moment, doing my best in the present. ๐ŸŽ I remind myself that I am where I need to be at this moment because I am here โ€” so where else can I be than here and now. I can wish to be somewhere else, but that doesnโ€™t change that precise moment. So why not be here and might as well enjoy. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Back to the topic of how do I want to grow. First I start with defining what growth is for me and how will I measure growth. Growth means progress and development for me โ€” growth in a holistic way โ€” growing as a whole human being. More wealth is easy to measure โ€” I just check my bank account but what about happiness. I want to grow in terms of being happy about the here and now all the time โ€” I measure it with the time I am unhappy โ€” that is easier to notice and then figuring out how to reduce the downtime of happiness. This makes me think about what is happiness? Is it having an experience? About getting what (or who) you want? About working for something you always cared about. Maybe it is unique to everyone. How do you know if you are actually happy or just thinking that you are happy? Pause.

How to grow in happiness? The more I think about it the more it seems that happiness is a constant thing happening inside of us with or without being aware of it. A constant flow of energy that just needs to be noticed to experience it. Close your eyes and think happy โ€” just do it NOW. Try it with a couple of deep breaths and see for yourself that the happy is there. Just give it a chance.

The more you look into this, the more you will grow. At least this is working for me and I can spend more and more time being happy, even when the time or conditions are not right when the people or the environment permits it. I choose growth and happiness. What do you choose, how do you want to grow?
