Mastering Apache Spark Notes in Top 10 Essential Books for the Data Enthusiast and 2500 Followers

I’m in Toronto Canada running THREE 4-day Spark & Scala Workshops.

I woke up early in the morning and found on Twitter that the Mastering Apache Spark notes I’ve been taking for the past 200+ days was featured in Top 10 Essential Books for the Data Enthusiast on KDnuggets!

As Matthew Mayo from KDnuggets put it, the Top 10 Essential Books for the Data Enthusiasts is…

A unique top 10 list of book recommendations, for each of 10 categories this list provides a top paid and top free book recommendation. If you’re interested in books on data, this diverse list of top picks should be right up your alley.

When you scroll to the section about Apache Spark you’ll find Top Free Recommendation with…my Spark Notes!

I still can’t believe it has ever happened! And it is all because I’ve got so much fun hanging out with Apache Spark! Thanks all for the vote of confidence!

That alone contributed to a high spike in the visits to the Spark Notes. I’ve got no doubts that not only can the Spark Notes cross 3k visits, but also 4k or even 10k! :-)

At that very same time, Twitter sent me a note that I managed to “attract” the magic 2500 followers.

That is so nice.

Okey…nuf praising…on to taking notes about Apache Spark! What else could I be doing these days?!

p.s. If you need services around Apache Spark, I know people who are ready to take on Spark / Scala projects. Contact me if you’re interested in delivering your projects on time with a bunch of very nice and skilled people.
