It’s easy to fall into creative block. Specially when your work involves making creative content. This could be videos, photographs, writings, poetry etc. Creative block is exactly like writers block, it’s a moment when a content creator can’t seem to make or come up with any idea that’s worth fleshing out or polishing. There are a couple of ways to overcome creative block even the most intense cases of it.

“Walk Away”

Sometimes the best way to come up with an idea is to walk away from one you may be working on. If you walk away from something you’ve been working on for a long time you may be able to get a fresh look when you come back and look at it from, a long walk, watching tv, hanging out with friends or even taking a shower.

“Try, try, again”

If you keep working on what you have you may end up polishing something that at first look may seem like a terrible idea. It’s easy to get discouraged looking at other peoples work and comparing them to your own, but most ideas don’t start off as great ideas they go through a refinement process working on the ideas you have only using others work to inspire yours or taking the best from others work to make yours better is the way to make better content, if you fail, try, try again.

“Get out of your comfort zone”

Don’t be scared to do things you’ve never tried before. If you always do something to catch your mind by surprise you will be able to spark an idea that you can work on that will not only be fun but will be challenging your creativity.

Creative block is not something you can avoid, but you can overcome it. Taking the time to walk away from your ideas, or finding a way to flesh out your ideas no matter how bad you may think they are.
