Gold-i unveils MT5 gateway as FX industry Moves from MT4 Gateway to MT5
Gold-i, a UK-based trading systems integration developer focused on Metatrader, has announced the launch of the Gold-i MT5 Gateway at the end of November. The smart routing product for MT5 will allow access to over 70 liquidity providers and is installed directly on the MT5 server.
Brokers that use MT5 will be able to aggregate incoming liquidity feeds and offer their own liquidity to clients as the Metatrader 5 gateway was designed to work with its modular multi-asset liquidity management platform, known as Matrix.
This announcement comes in a few days after MetaQuotes made clear that the Metatrader 4 would be left behind in terms of product development and updates, and that was time to migrate to MT5. Sales growth of MT5 has surpassed MT4’s for the first time in July 2016 and has continued to do so ever since.
In reaction to the trend, Gold-i has been more active in MT5 products than ever, migrating them from the MT4 ones. These include Gold-i’s Link, RiskDB, and Visual Edge for MT5 to be launched next year, as well as Gold-i Coverage Plug-in to automatically generate representative coverage for all STP orders. The next product to be available is Gold-i MAM Pro for MT5, in Q1 2017.
CEO and Founder of Gold-i said: “We are very excited about our new integrations with MetaQuotes MT5 platform. We pushed boundaries with our MT4 Bridge and this has opened up opportunities to offer brokers new and interesting functionalities through our Gateway.”
Commenting on its specifications, he added: MetaTrade 5 is a Nirvana of a system and we envisage significant uptake. It offers a multi-venue trading facility via one platform and a single margin account across all asset classes. It is also mobile based, which increases its appeal even further to brokers worldwide.”
“I believe it will be the platform of choice for retail brokers within the next two years, which is why we are investing so heavily in complex and time consuming product development to migrate our market-leading MT4 gateway software to MT5. We will continue to develop our MT5 portfolio, with a focus on ongoing innovation in order to help brokers using MetaTrader 5 to make more money, become more profitable and manage their risk more effectively.”, Higgins concluded.
