Do you have a lot of ideas on things to do, but never seem to finish? Start small.

Do you have a list of novels you want to read, but haven’t started because reading seems like too much work? Start by reading shorter novels, like Tortilla Flat, by John Steinbeck, and all of his short novels.
Do you have ideas for websites you want to build, but haven’t started because many of the ideas are very in depth? Start by writing a simple, one action, basic website, like Product Mentions.
Do you have ideas for novels you would love to write, but haven’t started because that takes too much commitment? Start by writing a short story (which I haven’t done yet).
Have you wanted to start meditating, but feel like you don’t have the time for the hour long sessions that are talked about? Just begin by sitting and meditating for short times, like 10 minutes (which I have started doing).
And listen, you don’t even have to consider your short beginnings to be quality. There are tons of examples of companies, authors, podcasters, filmmakers, and other creators, whose beginning work is clearly much more basic and not as high rated than their later work. You’ll learn by finishing, and you’ll learn to keep finishing by finishing.
Do you have ideas for blog posts that you want to write, posts that are very deep and require long amounts of planning and editing? Start by writing a short blog post, like this.
