Paige,
I really enjoyed your article with Google “driving” our future, literally and figuratively. Companies that could be controlling where our society is headed such as Apple, Microsoft, etc(and all those other big names that everybody knows about) are likely to make further changes as well that will push our society to be more reliant on technology. I wonder if this continual transition with technology will be a slow process that our society does not even notice. Think about it: we have made so many advances in the last 10 years in the blink of an eye. I can barely remember how it all happened.
The concept of “how far is too far?” is a great question I think we have to ask in our daily lives as technology advances more and more. Today we may say “oh I would never end up doing that” to living virtual living, but in that day, time, and age.. would we live that way? I wonder if our society will fall to these advances, whether that be a slow and steady process or not. The recognition of a balance between the world of technology and real life is something we should all be reminded. I hope that as we grow further into the future, we find ourselves still living in the real, tangible world! Great post!
