The Twitter Algorithm: Objective?
Jack Jarvis ran for School Board in Fresno and claims to have been asked to run against Nunes.
Jack is the nephew of a former California Republican Congressman and son and stepson of Judges.
Jack now supports Democrat Andrew Janz in his race against Devin Nunes (R).

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey claims to want healthy, civil conversation on Twitter.
According to Social Bearing, 0 of Jacks tweets are hidden from public view while a full 62.5 % are “Bad” or “Terrible” by sentiment.
Social Bearing, according to their own formula rates the @jxjarvix account, created on 8/5/2009 as a TUQI score of 2.18.
That is extremely low quality.

Jack is most mentioned by prominent, Republican, twitter accounts and by @fresnomac, Bill McEwen, a former Fresno Bee editor who runs GV Wire, which is funded by the Fresno area building industry.
The President has mentioned him 8 times.

For comparisons sake, and to get a feeling for what Jack Jarvis’ TUQI score represents we checked those listed above and some other non verified accounts.
@lincolnfresno 3.09, @brookeashjian 3.34, @fresnomac 1.8 (seems bad for a newsman), @stevebrandau 2.96, @buddysupervisor 3.94.
The above accounts, with the exception of @fresnomac are Fresno area Republicans.
@jontbath is a Fresno area education activist. 1.81.
@jack is 23.57, @vijaya 15.65.
@janzforcongress 9.68, @henryperea 4.17 (Fresno area Democrats.)
@rosecityantifa 9.08.
An organization that Jake Tapper interviewed that sets out to do violence is 3 times more credible than anyone from Fresno who is not a Democrat.
@funder 3.89. A known to the Democrats FRAUD is the same relative quality according to Twitter API as measured by Social Bearing.
According to Social Bearing the TUQI score represents,
The TUQI score is an attempt to rate the quality of Twitter users by various metrics such as friend/follower ratio, tweet/follower ratio, last tweet date, profile completeness and other factors which are all available through the Twitter API.
We then decided to check the Congressional delegation from the Central Valley of CA. No particular order other than finding their names and searching.
Note: Being @verified adds some weight to the formula. ALL members of Congress are at least Verified by twitter.
@devinnunes 17.93 (R), @repjimcosta 5.35 (D), @RepJeffDenham 4.37 (R), @gopleader 9.84 (R), @RepDavidValadao 6.51.
Just for fun we checked the California Senators and Leader Pelosi.
@senfeinstein 48.67, @SenKamalaHarris 25.68, @NancyPelosi 48.91.
Then we decided to check some notorious for different things Congressman.
Keith Ellison tweeted an Antifa book to Donald Trump and made news for that and is an antisemite.
@keithellison 7.1
Dana Rohrbacher is a weirdo.
@RepRohrabacher 7.15
Duncan Hunter is a scumbag blaming his wife for ill spent campaign funds.
@Rep_Hunter 8.31
Menendez is just coming off a trial for public corruption.
@SenatorMenendez 10.36
And lastly @speakerryan as we wondered if there were any Republicans held in higher regard than Devin Nunes.
@speakerryan 75.92
It’s interesting to note that Jack Dorsey says they deliver your tweeets to your followers but you don’t have a right to an audience BEYOND that.
And we agree.
Why should Twitter use it’s network and resources to promote you beyond your own audience if you’re basically an asshole?
This explains why BEHAVIORS of the @janzforcongress campaign don’t reach much further (and sometimes less than) their own audience.
@janzforcongress lied about billboards Scott Dworkin put up, claiming they were put up by “constituents” and networked with known grifter/frauds Krassenstein and Scott Dworkin.

Then we decided to check Randi Lee Harper.
We did this as Randi Lee Harper has a Non Disclosure Agreement with Twitter but can silence LGBT advocates on Twitter (and has) with an application she wrote.
Or Randi is the activist and LGBT her sheep to control.
Randi’s reach barely exceeds her number of followers. This is a poor showing except Randi has people in Congress.

We decided to check Twitter using Twitter Advanced Search for low quality tweets that are publically available through search by Jack Jarvis, @jxjarvix.
Twitter says they may remove tweets from search if they detract from the conversation so every tweet we link here is publically searchable, non filtered and readily available in twitter advanced search.
We have “Quality Filter” on.

Vijaya Gadde, Legal, Policy and Trust & Safety Lead says of filtered tweets, ie shadowbanning,
The best definition we found is this: deliberately making someone’s content undiscoverable to everyone except the person who posted it, unbeknownst to the original poster.
We do not shadow ban. You are always able to see the tweets from accounts you follow (although you may have to do more work to find them, like go directly to their profile). And we certainly don’t shadow ban based on political viewpoints or ideology.
We do not follow @jxjarvix.
The tweets, without comment:
Honestly searching an extremely profane, abusive account for MORE abuse just seems like a waste of time. Jack Jarvis is extremely abusive yet remains free and unfettered to be that abusive.
Why?
Apparently Jack can abuse whoever he wishes with “targeted” tweets, IE mentions straight to women and other people yet keeps getting his suspensions overturned and restricted timeouts timed… out.
He’s loud and proud on Twitter. As is Randi Lee Harper.
Despite being suspended and restricted on multiple occasions we can find no record of any filtered tweet sent out by @jxjarvix.
Like a little windup toy, Jack is released back into the wild of Twitter to heap scorn and abuse on his chosen targets.
Who is it that gets “filtered” and why? That’s unknown. But it apparently includes politicians using Twitter to speak to their constituents.
Jack should provided all the “ranked and filtered” tweets to Congress so elected officials can see how Twitter treats the tweets of elected officials.
Twitter claimed to Buzzfeed’s Charlie Warzel that the cause of the filtered accounts was a “bug.”
Reweighting the formula for the algorithm isn’t a “bug” it was a conscious programming decision. The original forumala and the overnight fix.
Most “bugs” take a long time to FIND and then FIX. But it’s not hard to fix when you know right where to look to change the programming.
It’s always a “bug.”
Twitter classifies itself as “News” on Apple and Google Play yet Twitter filters tweets from elected officials and twitter itself is FULL of tweets from people claiming their accounts were shadowbanned then after Jack appeared before Congress, corrected.
Mark Kern, AKA @grummz, is a Taiwanese immigrant to America, a lawyer and software developer.
Jack likes to call out people for liked tweets as well.
So who is it that gets “filtered” and why? That’s unknown. But it apparently includes politicians using Twitter to speak to their constituents.
Jack should provided all the “ranked and filtered” tweets to Congress so elected officials can see how Twitter treats the tweets of elected officials.
