Yes — entrepreneurship bubbles like this come and go and are a part of how the silicon valley ecosystem works. It certainly does affect how business (and entrepreneurship of course) is done, and many startups will start only to fail. That being said, it may be more beneficial to a startup to ignore some non-crucial aspects of their environment and focus completely on their startup — not on other companies, their competitors, or the bubble.
