The GOP controls enough state legislatures to rig the election even moreso than Hillary rigged her race against Bernie. Would not surprise me in the least if they all changed their state laws to make the popular vote merely “advisory” while retaining the power to directly select the Electors to themselves. That would give a head start of over 260 Electors to the GOP, and their giveme states of Louisiana and West Virginia would put them over the top.

The topper is that Electors thus chosen would be free to vote for whomever they want, so neither the crazy man nor the crook would win..
