Story 1: Teenager attacked by naked assailant in Woodbridge.

According to the Washington Post, a 16-year-old girl on her way to school was chased down by a naked man. A neighbor walking his dog tried to intervene, but was knocked down by the attacker. The attacker, Musab Mohamed El-Sheikh, has been charged with assault and battery, abduction and indecent exposure.

Story 2: More than $11,000 worth of iPhones stolen from Powhatan County Wal-Mart.

The Richmond Times Dispatch reported that on Wednesday, Feb. 3, two men took 18 Apple iPhones. The combined value of the phones is over $11,000. The Powhatan County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help identifying suspects caught on Wal-Mart security cameras.

Story 3: Defendants charged with two counts of first degree murder freed in Norfolk.

According to The Virginian Pilot, Steven Carter Jones III and Garrick Alexander Williams have been acquitted of seven felonies by Norfolk Circuit Judge John Doyle, including double murder and malicious wounding. Jones and Williams were charged with the deaths of Marcus Deering and Melvin Alston, after they were killed in a gunfight involving at least 13 people on New Year’s Day 2014. Doyle decided that there was not enough evidence against Jones or Williams to connect them to the deaths of Deering or Alston.
