I’ve been lucky to have worked with incredible leaders in the past, within startups and in Fortune 500 companies, helping me to have the courage to manage high visibility incidents, to not just to focus on solving a complex issue, but also learned how to communicate effectively to leadership while reaching out to customers to win back their trust.

This is such a moment.

I’m disappointed that there was an incident that recently happened at such scale. It’s in an area which wasn’t my expertise prior. It’s an unnatural stance to take ownership of an awful situation and get fully up to speed on things. One has to then lead the effort to identify necessary steps to resolve the situation for the long haul — as in this case, to secure the infrastructure, shifting processes to cross-pollinate security best practices across the team and to restore confidence in a wide variety of customers, developers and investors. This is all aimed towards building a stronger foundation for the Web3 space which I hope will regain confidence for us to build on blockchain platforms.
