#CodingEveryday
#CodingEveryday
Today, I promise myself I will code everyday. Whether it is a snippet of code on a project I am currently working on, or it is something I learn from a youtube tutorial I watched, I will publish codes to my Github’s repository everyday.
I am a software engineer in Hong Kong and I code almost everyday. The reason I am telling myself I will code everyday is to find out what I am capable of. I have graduated from university two years from now. I worked in a big tech company and a start up company in that two years period. And I am still finding a way to make my career. Of course, I am not saying I am going to quit coding. I love coding. Being able to build a city will just a few lines of codes is amazing. There is nothing can compete with that. I just need to sort things out. By investing in coding, I believe I can find my way.
It is a journey I have no idea where it will lead me. Also, I have no clue how many days it will last. May be it will end after one day, just like I promise myself I will write diary everyday and then forget about it after just one day. Let’s hope this will not end up like that.
One of the motivation of this project comes from Casey Neistat. I am a huge fan of him, who is a diary video blogger on Youtube and the founder of BEME. In one of the episode, he said that he hates people saying “bored”(it includes me). There are so much things to do, it is no way to feel bored. The way to find a break through is to keep doing stuff. As long as you are doing stuff, you are growing, you are moving forward. You don’t know where you will end up with, it might be the place you wish you would, or it might be the place you never think of, but you are moving forward. I want to be him, having the confidence and passion about his own work. That is exactly what I need right now, PASSION.
I had already distracted from writing this blog multiple times. I really do hope writing these blogs and codes will help me finding my purpose and goal. I wish I could do better and work harder. And, this is my start!
