Currently wearing a USA shirt. I watched a good 20 minutes of olympics today. A little swimming and a little gymnastics. I think those are my two favorites but I’m not really sure, I’ll know better in a couple weeks. I usually just watch whatever they’re showing on TV and it seems like it’s pretty much always those two.

Can you imagine training for years to be an olympian? I guess if you’re someone like Michael Phelps or Usain Bolt, or you’re in the NBA and just on team USA for fun that’s one thing, but for your average olympic athlete it’s kind of a big sacrifice for not that much glory. I guess if you do win a gold that’s a lot of glory.

Today the clouds were moving in and out all day long. I felt like I spent the entire day waiting for it to start pouring and it never did. Right before dinner time it looked as though the rain had decided to leave us alone. We turned on the grill and started barbecuing. Just before the food was ready I felt a couple of light drops. Within seconds it was a downpour. It came down hard for while, then stopped and then came back again. My uncle was in the outdoor shower when the rain started. Nothing like taking an outdoor shower in the pouring rain.

I’m working on these two video ideas. One is about the guy who finds the golf clubs that I told you about a few days ago. The other is more just visual at the moment. There’s this guy who is running towards the camera and he’s having all these things thrown on him. Eggs, flour, water, more eggs, ketchup and I don’t know what else but other stuff that gets thrown on people in movies.

There’s this movie from a couple years ago that I really liked called The Spectacular Now. I really need to watch it again soon because I found it really touching at the time I saw it. It’s one of those movies that they call a “teen movie.” I think teen movie is probably my favorite genre.

Feeling nostalgic for high school. I should write about high school.
