Get Educated, You Need To Vote

“Nobody will ever deprive the American people of the right to vote except the American people themselves and the only way they could do this is by not voting.” -Franklin D. Roosevelt

If you want to live freely, work effectively, create openly, love happily. You need to vote. If you want to see your country not just improve but thrive. You need to vote. If you want to see generations after you have not only the same but better opportunities than you have right now. YOU NEED TO VOTE.

The earliest form of democracy has been recorded back as far as 507 B.C. and has come a long way since. The political process of election used today is only effective if everyone contributes properly and the only way you do your part is to get educated and vote. You also want to make sure you encourage others to make an educated vote as well; this includes friends, family, coworkers or anyone in your life. Every voice creates a vote and every vote counts.

“Democracy must be more than 2 wolves and 1 sheep voting on what to have for dinner. ” — James Bovard

On election day it is us who come together and decide the new face to represents us as a country. We elect someone who has made promises that we have faith they will keep. We appoint a leader who serve the best interests of the people first and listens closely with reason when we speak.

Before you vote educate yourself and get informed! Look up each candidate, research the issues that matter most to you. Do the same for the ones that you’re not so worried about but you see others are. Figure out where the candidates stand on major issues like gun laws, climate change, immigration and health care. See what they plan to do with them, all of them. Do not search social media and label that your deep rooted research. Do not look for what everyone else says, do not believe everything you are told or read. Use credible sources. Become an informed voter.

When you vote you are being heard, and not just posting a status on Facebook “heard”. You are standing up for what you believe in and actually doing something about it. If you are educated but do nothing, you are sitting on the sidelines while other people make choices for you. Staying quiet doesn’t make you smart. When you vote you are making a difference and setting a standard. You will never truly know the majority vote until the election is over, the votes are counted and the winner is announced. Don’t worry about what everyone else says or thinks. The only way you can be sure that you have been heard and the election was fair is if you made sure you placed your vote come November.

“Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost.” -John Quincy Adams

Who you support or the viewpoints you hold might not be what others believe in. You might not agree with the more popular vote and thats acceptable. It is painfully easy to loose your integrity during election season or anytime hardheaded opinions are factored in. Always stay genuine. As long as you stand by your beliefs and stand by what you think is right, that will always be what matters.

At the end of election day those who will have participated did so with the same common goal, to work towards a better tomorrow. By voting you choose continue to live free and happy. You are investing in your country who is investing in you right back. Need I say. Merica.
