The youth are so impressionable and vulnerable, especially those who use music as an outlet like I did. It was an escape, from life, from struggles, from anything that was going wrong in life. Lil peep and so many others dedicated their lives to their craft, their fans, and their passion. One thing that has always been a belief of mine is that music effects everyone differently. So, while someone might hear one of Lil Peep’s songs and dislike it because of the simple facts he talks about pills, or lean, or any number of things, someone else like me could hear the song and relate heavily to it and the struggles that Lil Peep went through. Then there is a whole other class of people who may not relate to it, but they can still connect with the emotion it gives off. Some music is just fun to listen to, and party, or chill, but there is also music that connects with people on such deep levels because of personal experiences. I believe that artists have the right to put out any piece of music they make, because when they made said song, they were feeling a certain way and put that into the song. Lil Peep and his music were undeniably unique and memorable. He paved a way for so many, and a whole genre of music was raised to popularity from his efforts. He put in so much work and cared so much about his fans and his craft. He will live on through his music and his efforts.
