Morpheus: Believe in Others
We are all the One. Not just Neo.
But if we want to be the One, we’ll have to believe in ourselves. And for some of us, that’ll take practice.
Eventually, if we keep trying, it’ll happen. We’ll wake up. Everything will look like green numbers. And we’ll stop bullets.
Keep practicing. You’ll get there. You’ll get super powers.
But there’s a super power you already have. You can use it right now, while you practice believing.
This power is like a key. It unlocks things. It unlocks the most powerful things in the world.
Believing in yourself can take time. You can say the words, “I believe in myself,” but it doesn’t always catch. You might still feel afraid. You might still be filled with doubt.
That’s just because you’re used to your own voice. When you say the words, it’s not particularly special. Sometimes, you have to say it again and again, until it sinks in.
But when someone else says the words, the sound is new. It feels different in your mind. It reaches you more clearly.
Some of us are locked in our rooms. Afraid. We can’t go outside. It’s a shame. If we believed in ourselves, we could be heroes.
The way out is simple, though. All it would take is a clue. A white rabbit. A new voice. It doesn’t even need to be loud. It could be as soft as a whisper.
“I believe in you.”
That’s all.
It would wake us up.
If you’re lucky, there’ll be a knock on your door. You’ll answer it and find the people that love you. If that happens, embrace it. Take advantage of luck.
But don’t wait for luck to happen. Luck is great, but it’s unpredictable. It may never come.
Don’t forget. You already have a super power. You don’t need to wake up to use it. You can use it while you sleep. While you dream.
Believe in others. Put on cool sunglasses and a trench coat. Show people that they can leap over building tops. That they can stop bullets. Remind them that they’re not just batteries. Tell them to believe.
The One can save the world. But the world is pretty big. It actually might take more than one One.
That’s okay. Everyone is the One. You can tell them that. Tell them that and they’ll start to believe. Wake them up. Watch them fly. So that when you wake up, you can fly together.
