I know what you’re thinking. Sure, Golden Retriever's are cute and fluffy but so are a lot of dogs. Why do Golden Retriever’s get the “best dogs ever” label? Here are 10 reasons why I think Goldens are the best:
1. They love to swim! On hot summer days, you’ll always have a pool buddy.
2. Not only do they love swimming, Golden Retriever’s also love catching some rays! Okay, so I may be exaggerating a bit on this one but Goldens will always be by your side and will keep your seat warm.
3. Bred to retrieve waterfowl such as ducks, Goldens love to play catch!
4. Golden Retriever’s are great with other animals, especially cats! They have awesome personalities.
5. Just look at THOSE EYES! THAT FACE!
6. Goldens are also incredibly photogenic! They love to pose for pictures.
7. On cold winter nights, they will be there for you. Goldens make the best cuddle buddies!
8. Golden Retriever's are adorable puppies! I know I know, ALL puppies are cute but Goldens take the top spot with their fluff ball appearance and sweet disposition.
9. Goldens have a very expressive face and will keep you laughing!
10. Like all dogs, they grow up too fast but Goldens always keep their sweet and loving nature.
There you have it! 10 reasons why Golden Retriever’s are the best dogs ever. If you are headed out the door to the nearest pet store because I’ve convinced you to get a Golden, please remember they are dogs that require commitment and a stable environment. If you are not ready to give love and affection to a Golden then please refrain from getting a dog until you are physically, mentally and finically ready.
