My Perfect Day
My vision of a perfect ‘average’ day…
I wake up not too early, around 7am. This happens at my home, or travelling but always I need good rooibos tea with whole milk and maple syrup. I live in a comfortable home, in the mountains and close to amenities. I am financially stable and flexible enough to travel back home to Canada whenever I want, or anywhere else. I am able to take weekend trips to Italy and France, whenever I need to be near the ocean and warmer weather.
Following my breakfast and tea, I complete my most creative and important work. This happens in a space that inspires me. It is clean, with fresh air, and a view of the mountains. At home, it is my sanctuary where I feel good and it’s complete with meaningful art and colours. The size is irrelevant but I do like a soft chair and my favourite music playing.
Following another short meal, I go outside for a few hours with my partner or friends (or with the children on weekends). I spend this time cycling in the mountains with a road bike or a mountain bike, all above my house. In the winter I ski instead. My intention is to get up as high as possible each day, ideally with other people, but I am also happy alone.
Following my mountain activity for the day, I will soak in the hot baths near my home. I love being outside in the thermal water after a super hot sauna.
I continue to work for another couple hours before I cook. I have a home that is well suited for entertaining and rooms for guests. I am prepared for anyone to join, even last minute. Community is extremely important to me. I will end my day here with my friends and family, drinking nice wine that I have collected from various parts of the world, while we eat outside on the terrace with a beautiful view of the lake and mountains.
