Ladies, enjoy a relaxing time hosting your own bridal party at a spa before your BIG WEDDING DAY!

Every spa and salon is different, so don’t be afraid to call in or even walk-in to check out the place. Depending on the pricing, some places will offer you the whole package with bathrobes, champagne, snacks, and much more. If not, don’t be afraid to ask if you could bring in your own stuff. This will save you money.

If you book your own spa party that doesn’t offer the whole package, here are some tips to consider that may save you money!

1) Negotiate. Depending on the size of the group and the number of services you would like to do, some places are willing to give you a discount. Even mentioning the word cash only, may give you an opportunity to win your offer

2) Beverages. Due to legal licensing your group may not be allow bringing wine or champagne, but don’t be afraid to hosting a tea party! First ask if the spa/salon has a tea kettle or bring in your own. Have fun selecting teas from David’s tea, Teavana, or buy tea bags from your local supermarket

3) Bathrobes. Purchase bathrobes for your bridal party as their gift and ask them to reuse it on your wedding day. Have fun finding robes that have different styles, fabrics or select your wedding colours. Bridesmaids really appreciate it if you snitch their names or even on the coat hanger.

4) Ice breaker games. Here is a fun way to play truth or dare, the toilet paper game, Who am I?, and much more. Here is a link for more game ideas: http://www.foreverwed.com/hair/ice-breaker-activities-1.html

5) Prizes. Give your bridal party a reason to play. Buy basic prizes such as bath bombs, hand lotions, wine or even a gift certificate from the Spa/Salon you are currently at

6) Food. Order catering. Sandwiches, sushi, or Chinese food are great selections. Do not forget to ask if anyone has any dietary restrictions.

7) Sweets. Cupcake, baked goods, assortment of candies (your wedding colours) are always fun ways to make your party more enjoyable

8) Thank you cards. I always like to give a nice gesture in thanking the party by giving them fun thank you cards. Don’t be afraid to be creative. DIY your cards and write a personal message for each. They are after all helping you with your big day and would love to feel appreciated.

Don’t forget to have fun. Take tons of pictures and congratulation on your special day! :)

Sincerely,

Jacqueline
