Day 4: Merry and Allen’s big day! We woke up and got breakfast at a coffee and bakery called Persephone and it was amazing!

I had a honey lavender latte and a delicious bread pudding french toast (I forgot to take photos before I started eating, so it’s missing fresh fruit and a pretty presentation).

Rafal had a breakfast croissant, it may have been one of the best breakfast sammiches *I* have ever had:

We went back to the room to get ready for the trip up the mountain! Merry had shuttles reserved, but Rafal and I ended up driving just incase I needed to leave, the elevation was kicking my butt and making me tired, quickly.

Once at Teton Village, we met up with good ol’ Nathan Meyer and Molly (for anyone who doesn’t know him, he was my classmate and roommate of four years, and a wonderful human being). We got wristbands and as a wedding party went up on the gondola to the top of the resort.

Once at the top, we hiked a little ways to the top of peak where the ceremony was held. It was a really nice ceremony (short and sweet but meaningful), weather was perfect!

The top of the mountain had a waffle hut so we all stopped in to get delicious waffles, and I got a hot cocoa. Allen told us stories of how Merry always wants waffles while she was in the hut, even after just having one the run before … to which she returned to the table asking if all the waffles were for her and that she was really excited for them 😂

After eating waffles we headed back down the gondola, and made our way to the reception at Q Roadhouse. It was fun, there was a big outdoor yard/garden area where they set up cornhole and the KanJam frisbee game from the other day. We had some amazing appetizers, salad, and the best slabs pork belly I may have ever had. We played games, had all you can eat ice cream all night, and had fun meeting all the wonderful family and friends.

I didn’t get many photos but had to get a group shot of Merry, Nathan and I. We had many fun memories during vet school together, I wouldn’t have survived without them!

After the long day, we headed back to the motel to get some rest; the plan was to wake up early to leave for Yellowstone National Park (which writing this two days later, spoiler alert, that didn’t happen) in the morning. Baby was not having it though and kicked and made me uncomfortable all night. I don’t think I got more than 20 min “sleep” at a time the entire night. I can’t complain though, it was the first night of actually feeling terrible thus far.

Until tomorrow!
