I think what you’re missing is a conclusion with a recommendation.
If everyone who agrees with your essay votes EITHER Green or Libertarian then to the extent we can get Greens and Libertarians onto future ballots, onto future debates that much easier, then we will be punishing the Ds and Rs in a very real manner.
And if we don’t punish the Rs and Ds for the candidates we see, we encourage them to give us more Trimps and Clintons.
Imagine a 2020 or 2024 ballot where it was G, D, L, R. Having real alternatives would necessarily destroy lesser of evil voting and force party reform.
